As we found out in the last election, it doesn't matter that we have a skewered political system, it's what we have and it's still important that massive amounts of citizens participate. If we don't learn to how use it, the radical absolutist christian right certainly does know all the tricks - and they are more than happy to railroad us, given the opportunity, as we certainly have.
